This section contains information on how to become a .NAME Accredited Registrar and operational in the .NAME Shared Registry System (SRS).
Before you can proceed with certification with Global Name Registry, you must first be accredited by ICANN. The process for ICANN accreditation is explained at ICANN's website.
If you are already an ICANN Accredited Registrar, all you need is to sign the ".NAME Appendix" to your Registrar Agreement with ICANN. To get this signed, please request the ".NAME Appendix" from your contactpoint in ICANN.
There is no insurance requirement or posting of security bond required to become a Registrar for .NAME (other than what ICANN requires to all Registrars in general).
The following is the process Global Name Registry follows to accredit Registrars for .NAME
Send to Global Name Registry, by fax or post, two signed copies of the Registry-Registrar Agreement (RRA).
